In the wake of A Day without Immigrants - a nationwide boycott in response to the Trump Administration’s onslaught of hostile policies towards immigrants - I set out with writers to document key sectors of the domestic economy. Specifically, these stories focused on construction, and the immigrants - specifically the women - who are impacting the industry across New York.
